»  What is an online programme? How does it differ from normal Distance Learning Programme?

An online programme is a type of distance learning programme in which the student is not required to come physically to a classroom at a fixed time.
He is required to study the interactive online study material through Internet at his own pace. Examinations are conducted at the end of semester.

The duration of online programmes is the same as that of regular Distance Learning programmes. However, the duration of online programmes can be extended further for the benefit of working professionals or others who can't devote full time and are not able to complete the programme in normal time.

»  How can I apply for an online programme?

 

Step 1: Register yourself online by filling the online registration form. You will be issued an Applicant Registration Number (ARN).
Step 2: Get the application form, fill it and send it to ACeL along with the requisite proof for eligibility. Do not forget to mention ARN.
Step 3: If found eligible you will be asked to pay the Academic Fee.
Step 4: Once the academic fee is paid, you will be enrolled for the course and issued with a unique login ID (Enrollment No.) and a password.

»  What is Applicant Registration Number?

You get a Applicant Registration Number when you register online. This number is required to be mentioned in the application form. Mention this number on all correspondance with ACeL regarding your admission till you receive your enrollment number. Thereafter use enrollment number for all communication with the institute.

Yes, it is must.

»  Where can I get the prospectus and application form?

You can order Prospectus online by registering yourself and making payment online. You will be sent the prospectus through courier.

Or

You can download application form, fill it and send a Bank Draft for Rs..........In favour of "Amity Centre for e-Learning" payable at Noida, along with application form and requisite proof of eligibility.
You can get the prospectus by writing to ACeL and sending a Bank Draft for Rs. .......... in favour of "Amity Centre for eLearning" payable at "NOIDA".

Or

You can get the prospectus by hand from ACeL or any of its Authorised Study Centres (ASC)/ Amity Information and Counseling Centre (AICC) by paying Rs........... in cash or by Bank Draft drawn in favour of "Amity Centre for eLearning" payable at "NOIDA".

»  When will I be issued an I-card?

Once your enrollment is confirmed, you will be issued an I-Card.

»  What are the benefits of I-card?

The Identity Card will entitle a student to use the facilities available at any of the Amity Authorised Study Centres / Amity Information and Counseling Centre (AICC). The student can also use the Identity Card to avail the library facility. No student will be allowed to sit for the End Term Examination without Identity Card.

When you are successfully enrolled for a programme, you will be issued with a login ID and a password to access online programme you have opted for.

No. There will be no regular classes for the online student community.

In the end part of the semester, before the End Term Examination, Interactive Live Virtual Classes for each subject will be conducted. You can attend these classes online through Internet on your PC at Home/Office.

No, it is optional.

»  What is an Interactive Live Virtual Class?

Interactive Live Virtual Class is a virtual class, which will be conducted live by a renowned faculty from a central studio at a prescheduled time. You can attend the class through your PC and Internet. You can also interact with the faculty and ask questions online.

»  What if I miss Interactive Live Virtual Classes?

These classes will be stored in the Archive for the benefit of the students who miss these live classes. Students can see these recorded classes as and when they want and as many number of times they want.

»  What Type of course material will be provided to me?

Online study material will be available to students on 24X7 basis. You can study at your own pace as and when the time is available. This facilitates anytime, anywhere learning.

»  Will I be promoted to the next semester if I fail in previous semester?

Yes. You can enroll yourself for the next semester even if you have failed in the previous semester. You can reappear in the failed exam during supplementary exams conducted in Feb & Aug. The programme has to be completed within the prescribed period.

Any dial-up connection will suffice for online study material and downloading of assignments. There are many vendors in the market.

»  What is the Band Width requirement for Interactive Live Virtual Classes?

To get both audio and video along with presentation slides, you require at least 128 Kbps connection. This is possible only with ISDN connectivity. Nowadays always 'ON' broadband connectivity is also available at affordable rates.

»  What if I do not have this Band Width?

You have an option to switch off video if you do not have sufficient bandwidth. You can attend the OCP at the nearest Amity Authorised Study Centre also.
